Parts Washing Group - Part Accumulation <<<<< Previous Page
A
washer with automatic load and unload, with a manual operation to
follow, will want to accumulate parts so that the operator can attend
to other matters in between part processing. New Vista has developed a couple of solutions to address this need. One is the accumulating table, which will push the parts off the washer’s exit conveyor into a matrix. If the table fills before an operator returns, the machinery will go into idle mode. Table capacities vary depending on part size, cycle length, and expected operator absence. The bottom left picture shows an application with a part accumulating capacity of 150. The equipment in the bottom right picture has a capacity of 30; since cycle time for this part is one minute, it has an operator-free run time of 30 minutes. ![]() Another option is to automatically place the parts in boxes or trays. See the top picture for an application where New Vista transferred parts from a washer to pallets. Parts are palletized in staggered rows of five parts each. The equipment runs two part sizes with no changeover. ![]() |
